Background
Gemma has been working at Steyning Osteopathic Clinic since 2011 and has been the Director since April 2015. Prior to becoming an Osteopath Gemma worked for six years as a personal trainer in a prestigious gym on Oxford Circus. During this time she gained exceptional experience in building strength and stability in functional movement patterns. These skills lend themselves well to in depth gait assessment, post injury rehabilitation, sports injuries and aiding patients to find strength. Gemma graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2011 and since has undertaken post graduate study with the Classical Institute of Osteopathy which has spanned over four years. She obtained a full diploma in Classical Osteopathy in June 2018. Expertise Gemma uses Classical Osteopathic techniques such as manipulations, articulations, massage and stretching, as well as Cranial Osteopathy to treat a range of musculoskeletal and health complaints with the aim of aiding recovery and preventing further occurrences. She is able to give advice on diet and exercise in relation to your presenting problems and to achieve specific lifestyle goals. |
Ben White

Background
Ben graduated from the British School of Osteopathy with a Masters degree in 2012. In February 2013 he moved to Brisbane, Australia where he worked as a full time practitioner in a multi-disciplinary clinic for 5 years. During this time Ben gained a lot of experience treating a wide range of presenting conditions. Ben enjoys watching and participating in sport, with his main interest being in football. He has a keen interest in treating sports obtained injuries and aiding sports rehabilitation. Ben also really enjoys treating people from all walks of life and seeing how anyone’s quality of life can improve from alleviation of symptoms through Osteopathic treatment. Expertise Ben may include techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint articulation, joint manipulation, and cranial sacral therapy during his treatments. Ben has completed further study in Sports Massage, Cranial-Sacral Therapy and various courses on the treatment and rehabilitation of the neck and upper and lower limbs. |
Joe Meadows

Background
Joe graduated with Distinction in a Masters degree in Osteopathy in 2023. During his time at the University College of Osteopathy, he developed a strong passion for the detective aspect of osteopathic practice. He also had the privilege of working at the Blanchard Clinic, where he gained valuable experience in providing osteopathic care to patients diagnosed with HIV. This opportunity allowed him to tackle complex cases and offer rewarding support to individuals in need. Prior to this degree he worked for 3 years as a ski-instructor helping people develop their functional movement skills. While he has a particular interest in treating skiers and snowboarders, due to his diverse three years of experience as a qualified ski instructor, he is also passionate about providing quality care to patients from all walks of life. Expertise In his practice, he adopts a patient-centered approach, emphasizing open and ongoing communication with his patients. This collaborative approach ensures that he can provide the best possible care and support. Looking ahead, he is eager to further expand his skills and expertise as an osteopath. |
