Gemma Harding M.Ost

Background
Gemma has been working at Steyning Osteopathic Clinic since 2011 and has been the Director since April 2015. Prior to becoming an Osteopath Gemma worked for six years as a personal trainer in a prestigious gym on Oxford Circus. During this time she gained exceptional experience in building strength and stability in functional movement patterns. These skills lend themselves well to in depth gait assessment, post injury rehabilitation, sports injuries and aiding patients to find strength.


​Gemma graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2011 and since  has undertaken post graduate study with the Classical Institute of Osteopathy which has spanned over four years. She obtained a full diploma in Classical Osteopathy in June 2018. 

Expertise
​Gemma uses Classical Osteopathic techniques such as manipulations, articulations, massage and stretching, as well as Cranial Osteopathy to treat a range of musculoskeletal and health complaints with the aim of aiding recovery and preventing further occurrences. She is able to give advice on diet and exercise in relation to your presenting problems and to achieve specific lifestyle goals.

Ben White

Background
Ben graduated from the British School of Osteopathy with a Masters degree in 2012. In February 2013 he moved to Brisbane, Australia where he worked as a full time practitioner in a multi-disciplinary clinic for 5 years. During this time Ben gained a lot of experience treating a wide range of presenting conditions.  

​Ben enjoys watching and participating in sport, with his main interest being in football. He has a keen interest in treating sports obtained injuries and aiding sports rehabilitation. Ben also really enjoys treating people from all walks of life and seeing how anyone’s quality of life can improve from alleviation of symptoms through Osteopathic treatment.

Expertise
Ben may include techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint articulation, joint manipulation, and cranial sacral therapy during his treatments.   
Ben has completed further study in Sports Massage, Cranial-Sacral Therapy and various courses on the treatment and rehabilitation of the neck and upper and lower limbs. ​

Jen Nash

Jen graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with Master’s degree. Coming from a competitive swimming background, health and fitness have always been an integral part her life. Working mainly as a structural osteopath, she considers treatment of the musculoskeletal system to be at the centre of her practice. She aims to provide patients with suitable and personalised tools to reach their goals- be that to reduce pain, improve performance, or prevent injury.
 
Jen is due to begin a post-graduate certificate in specialist paediatric osteopathic practice from September 2020. She is also a qualified sports massage therapist with 3 years experience.
 
Expertise
Jen enjoys applying evidence informed practice alongside traditional osteopathic concepts. Jen uses her expertise in hands-on treatment and will introduce customised exercise and movement techniques to reinforce and prolong this change. She has experience treating patients with various ongoing health issues and uses this knowledge to consider all the systems in the body when creating personalised management plans.
